Preserve Drive.
The rain right after we arrived and got setup. WOW, we have not saw rain like this in 3 months.
It must rain Turkey's and Deer here. I saw these Turkey's and Deer in the yard right after the rain stopped.
This is the spillway at the end of our park. Fresh water is flowing into the salt water.
Manatee's cuddle here in the winter months. We was told about the alligators adapting to the brackish waters after they went over the spillway.
I worked July 2 in the Visitor Center. Had 2 visitors all day. So, I made use of my time by doing some cleaning. While at the Visitor Center I met Ranger Evan Hall. He had just returned from a strike force fighting the fires up near St. Augustine, and worked with Ranger Dylan Shoemaker from Big Shoals Park. Awesome to meet people from all over who know some of the same people you know.
Buddy and I was ready to go home when 4:30 rolled around. We had a early dinner and watched some TV. We are pulling in local stations here, not just ION and PBS. Wahoo, we might be able to watch NCIS again.
Up and at 'em Sunday morning, Gil saw this glider above the resident grounds.
On my way to do wash in the shed, I about ran into Charlotte's Web. This web was about 4 ft across.
We took a walk on top of the levee's today. Gorgeous View. Overlooking the C54 canal which divides the park into North and South sections and I-95 is the divider for the park east and west. We will take our shuttle pictures from on top of the levee's.
Time to head back home and get out of the heat and sun. Buddy is beginning to pant pretty hard. He drank a bottle of water and it didn't seem to help him much, he needs his AC.
